There are now Braddons living in every continent of the world! They were not, of course, always so widely dispersed. It is clear that most Braddons originated from the British Isles. Those in the United States who do not conform to this pattern were immigrants from Russia, for example, who anglicised their names on arrival in the USA, or ex-slaves who took the name of their former owner.
